Scalr (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides tools for musicians to plan practice, track sessions, collaborate, and optionally share activity. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Account Data: Username, email address, encrypted password, profile details, and optional information such as biography, instruments, or dates you provide.
Authentication Data: If you sign in using Google, we receive basic profile information as permitted by your Google account settings.
Practice & Content Data: Practice sessions, notes, schedules, reminders, uploaded media, recordings, and interaction data (such as comments or reactions).
Technical Data: Device type, operating system, app version, IP address (approximate), crash logs, and usage data for performance and security.
Purchase Data: Subscription status and transaction identifiers via app stores. We do not receive full payment card details.
User Responsibility: You must not upload or share content you do not have rights to. We process content solely to provide the Services.
Where applicable, we process data based on contract performance, legitimate interests, consent, or legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data. We may share data:
We retain data while your account is active and as required for legal or operational purposes. When you delete your primary account as described in section 10 below, we remove associated personal data from our systems promptly, subject to narrow exceptions (e.g., where the law requires retention or we keep aggregated, non-identifying information—see section 10).
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit. However, no system is completely secure.
Your data may be processed outside your country, including in jurisdictions with different data protection laws. We use appropriate safeguards where required.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
You can exercise these rights by contacting us at the email below.
In the app (primary account only). The main account holder may delete the entire household from Settings → Danger zone → Delete my account. Linked sub-profiles cannot start this flow; switch to the main profile first. You must confirm by typing the phrase deletemydata exactly (no spaces or extra characters). Autocomplete is disabled in the confirmation field so the phrase is entered deliberately.
Effect. This permanently deletes the primary user, all linked profiles under that household, and associated data we store for them (for example practice logs, library and media we host, device notification tokens, teacher–student invitations, and profile content), so that it cannot be recovered through the app. Backup and recovery are not guaranteed.
Other channels. You may also contact us at the email listed under “Contact” below to ask for account erasure; we will verify your identity and process the request as required by applicable law.
Exceptions. We may retain certain information where we are legally required to do so, to resolve disputes or enforce our terms, or in aggregated or de-identified form that does not identify you. Third-party processors (e.g., app store billing, analytics vendors) may retain their own records according to their policies.
The Services are not intended for children under 13 without parental consent. If we become aware of unauthorized data collection, we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a revised date.
